The venue and date have been secured for the first ever under 90k Englands Strongest Man Final.
It is to be held at the
Body FX Gym, Jackson Road, Holbrooks, Coventry, CV6 4BT on Sunday July 26th start time 12pm
Athletes Qualified are as follows
North
Mark Copey
Danny Fieldhouse
Anthony Green
Adam Tavis
Mids
Andy Okane
Ben Pierce
Jamie Allaby
Richard Scott
South
Toby Cutler
Mike Haman
Adam Hales
Stuart Bevan (1st reserve due to a withdrawal through injury)
Events
1) Truckpull 13ton 12 wheel 4 axel HGV. Harness and rope approx 20m (chalk only on hands, no glue)
2) Log Press Max. Start at 90k, 100k, 110, 115, 120 etc (neoprenes, belts, supports all ok,)
3) Axel Squat 180k 2' bar 75 sec. (Knee wraps, neoprenes, belts and supports ok. NO SUITS or SQUAT BRIEFS)
4) Super Medley 120kg farmers (straps ARE allowed) 10m into a sled, flip a 200kg tyre out the way (NO TACKY its small!), drag sled 15m
5) Max Deadlift Last Man Standing Olympic Bar. Start at 180kg. (neoprenes, belts, supports, all ok. NO SUITS, or STRAPS)
6) Stones. 90k, 110, 130, 150, all onto barrels 4ft high (tacky allowed)
These lads were awesomely strong in the heats so hopefully this will test them to see who is the strongest!!
Please let me know what you think of these events (aint gonna change em tho!lol!) as its the first year so Im just going off how strong the lads were in the heats.
