I have been training strongman now for about 14 weeks, and am doing ok. However, I am struggling to organise my events training routine. I do not know when to do heavy when to do light, which discipline I should do at the beginning of the week and how to structure it. In the gym I am fine as I have been doing that for years but am finding that over training when doing events is very easy. Can anybody like Mr Hollands or Mr Felix or any of you other professional strongmen who read this board give a novice a little bit of help. It would be much appreciated.

I`m not sure about everybody else but i train events on either sat or sun. We pick 3 or 4 events then do them in a pyramid style, ie getting heavier each set. The only event we always do is overhead to start with. Just pick a couple of events then rotate them. Hope this helps ?

Pick a competition, even if you not going to enter it yet. train for than events and go watch, so you can see how you doing next to other athletes.
