Bodybuilders sculpt there bodies to look a certain way, strongmen lift heavy objects not just standard dumbells and barbells. The principles of training are very similar, but techniques used are different, and event is training completely different.
We are similar ages although I have been training for 7 years. Different routines work for different people, but main rule of thumb is, heavy weight low rep for mass and light weight high rep for definition. Diet is also key, the more carbohydrate you eat the thicker you get the more protein you eat the leaner and more vascular you will become. Also it depends if you are a natural lifter or on steroids, if you are on steroids your body will metabolise food in a different way. Shrugging 240kg is not necessary, the trapezius muscle is naturally thick muscle it's sole purpose is to lift the shoulder capsule up. May wana try going a little lighter.
