hi there i'm new to this forum does anyone have any opinions as to what is the best option supplements in their raw form or branded supplements?

Cant beat a good quality whey protien. Check its not full of crap. If your going to use a weight gain make sure it`s not just sugar. What sort of money have you got to spend ?

the whey at bulk discounts ive found has been good to me good price no flavour. remember ther name makes the price in this game

I just bought some cnp pro mass 4.5 for £40 I've been told that is a good price but when I checked it it doesn't have whey in it has something called casein protein what is this?

Thanks for the great advice just checked out that site it looks brilliant. Up til now I have been buying branded stuff like cnp etc. The cheapest site I've found is www.titanshop.co.uk but the raw products on that site look well cheaper.

casein is a type of basically fake protein its goo dbut not as good as whey my protein and bulk discounts are the same company with two owners.

Everybody has different ideas on supplements a good protein is the key to sucsess but remember what suits you wont suit me. I am curently using Dorian yates Lean Gain and i have to say i like it . Its palatable but its not too heavy so your not too full after it. Some other good supplements are Udos choice oil.................. I love this stuff Eskimo oil..........................tastes nuts but it works Glutamine..........................try usn glutacell Viatargo BSN No Explode
All these are pretty good and cheap enough i think usn have stopped makin glutacell i used to mix it with vitargo what a kick especially when gettin ready for a comp.
The two oils are very cheap and for what you are gettin are great value for money and the cheapest of all supplements is good old porridge and brown rice full of low glycemic carbs and cheap as chips.

I'm sorry, but who on earth can say that caesin is a 'fake' protein ?? And just what is a fake protein anyway I agree that whey is a good form of protein but it is not the only one out there and I do not believe that it should be used exclusively due to it's relatively 'fast' mode of action in the body. Caesin is not 'fake'. It is just as good as whey but because it is digested slower it should be used either at night time to ensure a steady flow of aminos into the system while you sleep, or in between meals to again ensure a constant supply of aminos to the body.

There is not such thing as a fake protein. Different types of protein are metabolized at different rates in the body the all do the same thing. Build muscle. Amino acids are a form of protein compounds, once protein has been digested it's broken down into different protein compounds.

I agree that the best usage of Casein is at nightime, it's also good for th system as a whole to have a variety of protein sources.IMHO
