I get tendonitus in my wrists from doing log cleans. I have bought some wrist wraps, and they seem to help a bit, but they have not totally cured the problem.
Any suggestions for anything else that might help?
Thanks.

i no i aint much of a log event man but
do ya go heavy all the time if so try dropping the weight for a bit to build ya wrist up, or get used to pressing it.
what type of log is it, are the handles central in the log or are they shallow making the log appear heavier (tilted). if so try a new log.
sorry, if no help.

Try more stretching of the forearm and more overall forearm work. I used to get it real bad doing arm curls, I started doing reverse curls and it made a difference but it took its time. I wouldn't advise on wraps as this will give a false impression save them for the contest when you need the extra reps or lbs.

Colin, I had the same problem last year and went to a Physio for advice. He told me that because it was quite bad I had to rest for 2 weeks to let problem try and heal on its own, but also advised applying Ice to the area for 15 mins as often as possible (every two hours preferrably). He advised I checked with my GP first, but then to take Ibuprofen as directed on box for no more than 4 days at a time with four days off before repeating, and not to repeat more than twice. This cleared it up in no time and I now apply Ice after training log or anything else that stresses the wrist and forearms, and it has not come back! Good Luck. I get tendonitus in my wrists from doing log cleans. I have bought some wrist wraps, and they seem to help a bit, but they have not totally cured the problem. Any suggestions for anything else that might help? Thanks.

Thanks for the helpful responses everyone. I'm probably going to combine a few of your suggestions. I'm going to do some more forearm work to try and strengthen the area. I'll also try the ice and ibuprofen. I'm wondering if Ibuprofen gel like ibuleve applied to the area might work better than the tablets perhaps? Thanks again.
