Hi. I am based in Leicestershire and a good mate of mine is a top notch welder. He is in the process of building me a 210kg yoke with the provission to add alot more weight and has already made me two logs, both of which can weigh upto 160kgs (est) and as little as 40kgs. He has also made me a kickass 2" wrist roller which can hold alot more than i can roll and at the minute i am doing sets of 40 kgs. After the yoke he is starting on a smith machine as i didnt fancy paying over 1k for one! Basically he could proberably make you one if you send pics of what you require. regards Rich.

THANKS MATE' I'LL LET YOU KNOW WHAT I WANT FIRST AS IT CAN WORK OUT EXPENSIVE WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMEND WOULD BE MOST BENEFICIAL FOR ME TO HAVE FIRST. MY PARENTS HOUSE THAT I AM BUYING NEXT YEAR HAS LOADS OF LAND AND FROM NEXT MONTH I AM THINKING OF GETTING THINGS PREPARED FOR SETTING MOST OF THE EVENTS SETUP ON THERE. DO YOU THINK ANY OTHER STRONGMEN WOULD BE INTRESTED IN HAVING A COUPLE OF WORKOUTS AT MINE ?. MAINY I WANT TO GET TRAINING WITH OTHER STRONGMEN THAT ALLREADY ENTERED COMPS. BY THE WAY THERE IS OTHER SITES FROM THIS ONE THAT YOU CAN GET TYRES FROM. I WOULD SAY MY FIRST TYRE I'M HAVING AS 320KG THE TYPE USED IN BSM. THANKS MATE !

Shop around mate. Personally i have a 280kg tyre with very little tread, nice and difficult!! makes the comp ones seem like toys. Went to a tyre fitters for trucks and they let me have it. Then i got a couple of sleepers which my mate made handles for, an 11g barrell ect. I have access to 35 trucks to pull ranging from 2t to 14t unladen. Try a comp, find your weakest events and train for them accordingly. By the way a 280k tyre is heavy, only 2 out of 54 blokes where i work can even get it off the ground let alone flip it!
